Silent Lion

Welcome to a new group of themed creations. Instead of once a week getting a special, everyday is something special from different creators over the SL grid. This months theme is white and my entry, that releases on the 13th, is a Cowry Fin with accessories to match. This one day the fin and extras will only be 75L, so don't miss out!!!

A look into a new direction

I have been debating starting something new for awhile now. But know matter how I try, the waters always call to me. So instead of looking to see about other mythical creatures (which I still have not given up the idea of). I want have begone to expand the options in the waters of Atargatis. I have been creating jewelry, special occasion skins, poses, tops, and now ears. I have so many designs waiting to come out that this last Wednesday I set the first set of ears and a special skin for sale for 50L. It is still in the store, but the price is now 250L.

I love creating new and wonderful items and this, I hope will be something everyone can enjoy. As a bonus, I HATE trying to color match my ears to my skin. It never comes out just right and if light hits them the wrong way then they color is WAY off. So, I have teamed up with Mango Mango, and the ear bases will match the tones of those skins :)))

Hooked

Something that absolutely makes me happy as a shopper as well as feel appreciated for supporting my favorite designers are group gifts. I'm not a shop group hopper and generally stick to shops I'm interested in hearing about their new releases. I also don't mind joining fees for shop groups I really like. I'm weird like that. I wish I had more room for in world group slots personally as I'm not too keen on the various subscription groups. I digress though!

This is a little group gift available to Atargatis group members. Something fun and a little edgy, just how I like things! It's a lip piercing made from a fishing hook. It's currently available in the group notices for a while. If you dilly dally and miss out though by not joining the in world group, I've heard that you can get it (and lots of other prizes) from the custom 7 Seas fishing prize all new and nifty in the Atargatis waters.

Silver Jewelry

Aaaannnnd June is upon us all already! I missed last weeks' special release which was a luverly two person pose. Human and merrow striking a fun pose together. Cheran posted it in the previous post. *I know! GASP!!*

Swim fast and go get it!

I'm late with this Wednesday's (my excuse is evertime I try to blog I get distracted feeding the fishes here) as well but I bet 'cause Cheran is nice like that, it might still be available.

It is a very prettiful head piece that once again can be worn by finned and feeted alike. It's got a regal feel without being overly fussy. I think it might make a great design on top of a spear or staff as well *cough cough*. Especially something that can heal as the design reminds me of that serpent and wings image thingy on old fashioned pharmacies.

Go buy this Wednesday's special here: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Monkee%20Business/17/227/13

Till next time!

I got carried away

When I see the loverly poses of men and mermaids together I cant help but wonder about how many of those encounters would really be romantic. I mean the nature of humans is to say "that looks cool, I wonder how much I could get for that?" And who leaves the fish that grants every wish in the sea? Throw that maiden over your shoulder and take her home to mamma!

This was my nutty look at a couples pose. Yes you can find it @ Atargatis. Enjoy, I had fin making it.

More Turquoise and Red Coral

SL™ is not behaving muchly for me today so forgive the somewhat crazy looking pictures. Also the lateness of this post since it is about a Wednesday special release. It's Thursday of course, and I bet if we're really lucky it might even still be around for some of Friday (tomorrow). Just hurry and get it if shiny things are your cup of tea!

Remember that blog post about the necklace? Well you can still get it and it's matching counter parts as well. All for their luverly special price for a little while longer. The next installment of Atargatis' special Wednesday release is a pair of matching earrings and a beautiful belt. Good things for the not so finned but very pretty for us finned folk.

I do love belts. They can add just a little pizazz to a fin look.

Gacha Gacha

I remember fun Cracker Jack prizes. Cereal surprises worth getting the box first to dig for. Not a lot of them mind you, cause then safety rules and regulations against putting toys in food got serious. I'm not that old. I did get regaled with elaborate stories I'm sure now must have been made up of some of those prizes from the "good old days" being records or rocket ships, things like that, and being totally amazed... I do remember the fun little plastic toys though and Gacha machines remind me of those fond memories.

They're kind of like those plastic bubble prize machines that stand guard in the back of grocery stores all over the place. The cheap but thrilling prizes promised to children everywhere by harried mothers just trying to get the grocery shopping done. "Just be good while I get the groceries and I'll give you a [insert correct amount here] for the machine."

Lucky for us in SL™ designers like Atargatis have some of these. For mere pocket change we too can try our luck for a lovely little prize.

Luck out I did! I am not overly fond of the color green. Let me rephrase that. I quite have a strong dislike of it. I fully expected this to be rewarded with a green gacha prize as I awaited while my 15 $L went through the machine and delivered it's surprise prize.

Joy! I got a black fin set!

Try your gacha gacha luck at Atargatis and see which prize you get. You have nine chances to win total for 15L $ a try. Eight of them, to win a fin set in red, green, yellow-green, blue, purple, pink, white or black. There is also a ninth chance to win a mer waist belt in shades of blue-violet.

Turquoise Trails and Coral Sunsets...

Well hello there my splashy friends! I'm Diver, and for those of you who don't know me, I'm an avatar, usually a selkie named Divergence Magic who likes to write and take pictures in and about the virtual world of SL™. I'll be lending my shopping, writing and picture taking skills to my good friend Cheran, here on her Atargatis Blog, helping to announce her new releases and stuff like that cause she's shy.

Okay, maybe she's just a little shy and more really super busy. She's totally into making fun things and always has a zillion projects going on simultaneously.

I'm really into buying fun things and taking lots of pictures and rambling on about the fun things and their fabulousness.

I'll probably also give some attention to older items in Atargatis as well because some of them have told me they are sad, never having gotten their own time in the limelight. We'll see... he he

I'm excited to be blogging here so without further delay, I present my first blog post of an Atargatis new release and it's yumminess that you too can have if you swim fast!

Today is Wednesday and as part of a small group of designers offering a themed special item to help you with the midweek blahs, Cheran is offering a beautiful necklace. It is made to resemble coral and turquoise entwined together and can be safely worn by merrow and land lubbers alike. It also goes extremely well with last week's release, The Sea Horse Wrangler, shown here cause I can't very well be naked wearing only a necklace riding a seahorse. Or can I?...

It sort of reminds me of some of the Native American jewelry one can find in high end souvenir shops out in Arizona or Texas with the added bonus of some bright coral mixed. Perfect for the Ropin' It Wednesday group theme.

You should get it. Just look at the loveliness of it. And cause Cheran is super awesome, it's only 50L$!

Tetra

I am happy to be able to say I am BACK! I took a bit of a break from creating and SL in general after some RL hardships that really shook everything up pretty bad. But I have been trying to get back into the creative mood lately and the most simple and common fish in an aquarium gave me inspiration. The common neon tetra, although nothing spectacular, is very beautiful. I wanted to capture that same simplistic beauty with this tail. It is available at all my shops so you are sure to find it and 249L. Hope you enjoy!
